Seven years ago, the Hollowing emptied the world. Thirty-six hours was all it took for billions of souls to vanish, leaving behind hollowed husks that hunt the living.
Adrian Mase lived as a shadow and died as a shield. An F-rank hunter with a useless attribute—No One Gets Left Behind—he spent his life holding the line for people who never looked back. He died in the dirt, forgotten.
He woke up wearing a dead man's face.
Aison was Japan’s most feared A-rank hunter, a "monster" who cleared Red Zones alone and was executed by the global Blade Covenant for refusing to kneel. In his final breath, Aison made a wish. Adrian was the answer.
Now, Adrian inhabits the body of a legend at Level 1. He inherits Aison's enemies, Aison's jagged reputation, and a sister who grieves for a brother she doesn't know is gone. But he also inherits a new power: Eternal Echo.
