In the year 2100, billions dove into *New World*, a Full-Dive VRMMO promising total freedom. What they didn't know was that the logout button was a about to vanish. Six months after launch, Earth was deleted, and the "game" became a meat grinder where death was permanent and the strong preyed on the weak.
Aether was one of the strong. As the Shadow Archon, he fought until he was the last man standing on a mountain of corpses—betrayed, limbless, and watching his loved ones butchered by the man he called his brother.
