The Starfall Oath

Synopsis A century ago, the Starfall Convergence shattered empires when bonded mages turned their shared power against the world. Now, bond-users are regulated, feared, and carefully controlled. Aren Vanmoir, a quiet orphan admitted to Caelthyr Academy on a dubious scholarship, wants nothing more than to survive unnoticed. He has no noble lineage, no known affinity—only test results that make no sense and a recommendation no one claims to have written. On his first day, a chance collision with Lyra Ashwyn, a fiery elven heir, ignites an impossible soul-bond, awakening Aren’s hidden gift: Astral Resonance, the power to stabilize and amplify others’ magic. As artifacts hum in his presence and wild beasts kneel instead of attack, whispers spread of a new Convergence Anchor. The Crown wants to harness him. The Sanctum wants to purge him. The Wild Circles want to claim him. Drawn into his orbit are Lyra, a lonely prodigy; Seris, a teasing shadow-witch; Sienna, a fierce forest guardian; and Elowen, a fallen saint whose light has gone dark. Together, they must decide whether their bonds will become chains of control or a chosen constellation strong enough to defy the world.
